AT OCC RENEWABLES
OCC Renewables offer a wide variety of high-quality and bespoke services specialising in several renewable energy sectors.
To preserve our innovative and market leading recruitment, we ensure to continuously update our knowledge and understanding of renewable energy.
For example, we recognise Solar, and Hydropower combined are a close second to offshore, and onshore (Wind Power) renewable energy production.

THE SPECIFICS
Noted by the G20 Summit, hydropower (among all other sources of renewable energy) remains to be a pertinent asset for global Net-Zero targets.
We recognise the continuation of investment in these sectors, and endeavour to continue our invested time to help pioneer this process.
Hydropower is a reliable, versatile, and low-cost source of clean electricity generation.
HYDRO POWER CHALLENGES
Like all other renewable energy sectors, Hydropower can be a complex, and intricate process encompassing a variety of different methods for renewable energy production. For example, there are four main types of Hydropower system(s) and each present unique challenges:
1.
2.
3.
4.
1.
Run-Of-River Hydropower
A facility which channels continuous flowing water from a river through a canal, or penstock to spin a turbine. Typically, a run-of-river project will have little or no storage facility.
2.
Storage Hydropower
A large system that uses a dam to store water in a reservoir. Electricity is produced by releasing water from the reservoir through a turbine, which activates a generator.
3.
Pumped Storage Hydropower
Provides peak-load supply, harnessing water which is cycled between a lower and upper reservoir by pumps. This uses surplus energy from the system at times of low demand.
4.
Offshore Hydropower
Involves a growing group of technologies which use tidal currents, or the power of waves to generate electricity from seawater.
